Imogene F. Brown 1919-2009 Funeral service for Imogene "Jean" F. Brown, age 89 of Geneseo, will be Friday, May 01, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Norberg Memorial Home. Rev. Jon Olinger will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery on May 01, 2009. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 01, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Norberg Memorial Home. Jean passed away on Tuesday, Apr 28, 2009 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Geneseo. She was born on Dec 13, 1919 in Princeton, IL. to Harlan and Marilla (Meyer) Salmon. She attended Princeton High School. She married William Dale Brown Sr. on Aug. 14, 1934 in Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1986. She formerly attended the First Christian Church. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper and moved to the Quad Cities in 1969 with her family. She loved gardening, her flowers, and fishing. She is survived by her children; Joyce Norgaard of VA, and Linda (John) Oertel of Geneseo. Also surviving is one daughter-in-law Donna Brown of Princeton. Surviving as well are 8 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and two sisters Martha (Ellsworth) Loberg of AZ and Pat Pachel of MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Bill Brown, and two brothers George and Curtis Salmon. Memorials may be directed to Hillcrest Nursing Home in Geneseo, IL
