William Salter was born in Devon, England.
William was born in 1873[1] He was the son of Robert Salter and Ann Carter.
He was living with his parents and siblings at Sandhill Road, Ottery St Mary, Devon, England and he was attending school in 1881[2]
He was living with his father and sister Bessie still at Sandhill Road, Ottery St Mary, Devon, England and he was working as a carpenter's apprentice in 1891[3]
