William was born October 21, 1894.[1][2][3]
Private William Salyer served in the United States Army in World War I
Service started: 3 May 1918
Unit(s): Company C, 52nd Infantry Regiment
Service ended: 21 Jun 1919

William lived in McRoberts, Letcher, Kentucky. William served during World War I as a private with Company C, 52nd Infantry. He enlisted May 3, 1918, and was discharged June 21, 1919.[4]

William married Ollie Branham July 3, 1919, in Letcher County, Kentucky.[5] They lived in Whitaker, Letcher, Kentucky , where he worked for Consolidation Coal Company.[6][7][8][9]

He passed away in 1977. He was buried at Whitaker Cemetery, Whitaker, Letcher County, Kentucky, USA.[10]
