Biography

John was born in 1827 in Floyd County, Kentucky, United States. He was the son of Abner Salyer and Nancy Morris Hale. John was married to Evalina Jackson, But he had a son, Ratio by Violet Montgomery. He passed away in 1908 in Morgan County, Kentucky, United States. John was buried at the Holiday Family Cemetery in Salyersville, Magoffin County, Kentucky, United States.

He ran a ferry on the Licking River.
