Julia Sammons was born in 1798, in Virginia, a daughter of John Sammons and Hannah (Wymer) Sammons. In 1820, Julia married Ensign Jonathan Markland, a son of Thomas Markland and Anna Mariah (Summers) Markland, and a veteran of the War of 1812.
Julia (Sammons) Markland died in 1857, in Hamilton County, Ohio and is buried in the Ebenezer cemetery, there. [1]
