John was baptised on 23 March in either 1709 or 1710 in St Andrew, Bothal, Northumberland. The Register records the family living at Stakeford.
His father was Thomas Sample. [1][2]
John married Ann Moor after the 27 September 1740 in Earsdon. Ann was 22 and John 26 and they were both from the parish of Earsdon. John obtained his marriage license on the 27th September.[3]
