When Henry Thomas Sample was born on November 24, 1874, in Kansas,[1] his father, Isaac, was 53 and his mother, Nancy, was 37. He had two brothers and two sisters and was a bachelor until he died in 1935 at the age of 61, and was buried in Bixby, Oklahoma next to his brother, William.[2]
