Edna served in the famous 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion in World War II. She enlisted in the Army 07 August 1943, in Chicago, Illinois [2] and was discharged 11 Dec 1945. [3]

She married James R. Bowman on 15 October 1954.[4]. Edna's death registration idicates that she was divorced at the time of her death.

Edna passed away in 1978 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. [5]
