Fern E. Draper, 88, of Ottawa died Friday, May 14, 2010 at Ottawa Pavilion. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010 with Lonnie Hertenstein officiating. Visitation will be 9:00-11:00 a.m., prior to services, on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park.
Fern was born August 24, 1921 in Ottawa, IL to Theodore and Eva (Greene) Sampson. She married Burrel Draper February 4, 1944 in Ottawa, IL. She was a former hall of fame member of the Ottawa Woman's Bowling League.
Fern is survived by her husband, Burrel; one son, Don (Betty) Draper of Tucson, AZ; two sisters, Johanna Nelson of Ottawa and Eva Wimberly of Centralia, IL; and one brother, Ken (Carol) Sampson of Normal, IL.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Darlene Draper; one sister Hazel Blinks; and three brothers, Martin, Carl, Ever Sampson.
