Benjamin was born in 1759. He was the son of Benjamin Samson and Deborah Cushing.
In 1779, Benjamin above the age of 14 years, made the choice of Joseph Sampson of Kingston to be his guardian.[1]
He passed away in 1793.
Benjamin Sampson of Kingston, yeoman died intestate and on 8 April 1794, John Faunce of Kingston was granted the administration of his estate.[2]
His inventory was taken on 13 August 1794 in Kingston.[3]
In 1795, an account of his estate by John Faunce was recorded which included, provisions for the family, allowance for the widow, doctor, debts paid, repairs to the farm, and administration fees.[4]
In 1796, a second account of his estate was recorded which included the balance in the first account, debts collected, debts paid, appraising, and administration fees.[5] Another account is recorded. His widow Priscilla received her dower.[6]
In 1796, John Faunce of Kingston was appointed to be the guardian of his minor daughter Priscilla, above the age of 14 years.[7] He was also appointed guardian of James Sampson, Isaac Sampson, George Sampson, and Deborah Sampson, all under the age of 14 years.[8]
