Biography

William was born in 1893 in Gravesend Kent.^[1] He was the son of Isaac Samuels and Mary Warn.

In the 1901 census William was aged 7 yrs old and living with his parents and siblings at Shubbery Rd, Gravesend.^[2]

In 1911 according to the census William was now 17 yrs old and a house painter like his Father and brothers. ^[3]

In 1915 he was called up for the Military, WW1.Royal Engineers,2/7th Company,^[4]

In 1916 William married Florence Mary Parris^[5] They had two sons but Florence died in 1923.

William was married again in 1924 to Mary Anne Jenkins. ^[6]

He passed away in 1967^[7]
