Jabez Sanborn was born March 24, 1691, in Hampton, New Hampshire, the son of Josiah Sanborn and his second wife, Sarah. Jabez's mother was the widow of Jonathan Perkins, who died Jan 24, 1688 in Hampton, New Hampshire. His mother married his father in 1690, and very likely brought her Perkins children to the marriage. (research pending) Jabez was the first child of her second marriage. [1]
Jabez received an inheritance of land and an orchard at his father's death, from Josiah's Will written June 10, 1713. There he lived, in Hampton Falls, near Exeter with his first wife, Abigail (?nee) On December 29, 1713, Jabez married, secondly, Abial / Abigail Marston, daughter of Ephraim Marston, a brewer by trade, who lived at Hampton. Jabez wrote a Will in 1760, which was proved in 1761. It mentions his wife Abial and children Ephraim (deceased before his father) Josiah, Marston, Tristram, Mary [Sanborn] Cram, Phebe, Abial, Hannah [Sanborn] Conner, and Abraham Sanborn. [2]
John Cram, b. May 16, 1710; d. 1773 married Mary, daughter of Jabez Sanbron (28) (Dow - p650) [3]
