Moses Sanborn, born April 25, 1777, in Epping, New Hampshire, died April 12, 1852. Moses resided in Wales, Maine, where he married March 18, 1801, Nancy, a daughter of Major Josiah Fogg, of Raymond, New Hampshire. [1]
Moses Sanborn came from Epping, New Hampshire. It is supposed that he was a brother of James Sanborn, who two years later began to clear the farm in the vicinity of East Monmouth, on which his youngest son, Sumner R. Sanborn now lives. Moses settled on the Robert Carlton place, in Wales. [Maine] He married Nancy Fogg and had four children. Henry Sanborn, his oldest son, was married at the age of twenty-six to Ann C. Daly, daughter of Dr. Abial Daly, of Monmouth. [2]
