Biography
Rev. Jacob Sanborn was born in Unity, New Hampshire on May 16, 1788. [1] He was son of Abraham Sanborn and Deborah Wilson. [2]
He married Fanny Eastman on Dec 25, 1817 in New Hampshire. [3] They had one child toegether. [1]
Jacob joined the Methodist Church at age 18 and became a preacher, filling many important pulpits in New England. He preached in Portland, Maine; Exeter, New Hampshire; Providence, Rhode Island; and many cities of Massachusetts. He was a "stalwart and brave" religious teacher. [1]
His first wife Fanny died in 1825 and Jacob married second Eliza Robinson on June 21, 1826. [1]
He died on March 16, 1867 at Concord, New Hampshire [1] and is buried in Gilmanton, New Hampshire at Wilson Hill Cemetery. [2] .
