Minnie was born in Northcote [1]; her mother died when she was 17, possibly leaving her with some responsibility of looking after her 9 siblings, as the eldest girl.
They had five children. These were Thomas Edward (1879), Charles Beaufort (1880-1961), Leslie Byron (1882-1951). An Adeline appears to have been born a decade later (1891-1891) but died after 26 days. [4]
Minnie died in 1909 aged only 54.[5] After she died, her sister Louisa Sanders lived with her boys for some years.
