Larkin was born in 1816. He was the son of Thomas Sanders and Milly Newby. He passed away in 1854.[1]
Receipt for the sale of a slave named Marcellus to George L. Rogers (1st cousin once removed of Larkin L. Sanders and Mary Ann Sanders):
16 April 1841 Bullitt Co. Ky. Recd of Geo. L Rogers four hundred and fifty dollars for a black boy named Marcellus, about sixteen years old a Slave for life, in which sale we warrant and defend the title of said Slave to sd. Rogers and his heirs from us and our heirs [damaged] from the claim of all and eve[damaged]on whatever and that we __ [damaged] to be sound and in good [damaged] perfect in his mind and al[damaged] ___ in testimony here of we affix our hand and seal this 16th day of April 1841 Attest W.
