Mrs. Martha N. Stone, 80, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frances Tillison, with whom she had been making her home the past 14 years. Born in the Hilltop community, January 25, 1866 she had lived in this section throughout her life.
Survivors include two sons, Will Stone, Edgewood, and Luther Stone, Mesquite; and two daughters, Mrs. Mae Tillison and Mrs. Frances Tillison, Mesquite; 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday 2 p.m. at the Hilltop Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Whitlock of Dallas officiating. Burial was in Lyons Cemetery. McCullough Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
