Although it is generally assumed Francis was son of John Sanders, no documentation has been found to prove this. It also has not been proven that he died at such a young age.
Francis Sanders is mentioned in a land grant made to John Lee (grantee) in Nansemond County, Colony of Virginia, in 1675. QUOTE: “Description: 100 acres joining or the swamp or branch which divides this from the land formerly belong.g to Micah Hill and which now Francis Sanders is seated on.”[1]
