Biography

Annie Henderson was born in 1862 in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Yorkshire, England to Robert Henderson and Ann (Martin) Henderson. Her birth was registered in Guisborough, Yorkshire in the third quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Martin.^[1]

Annie Henderson, daughter of Robert & Ann, was christened on 13 Oct 1862 in Marske near Guisbrough, York.^[2]

In 1871 Ann Henderson (age 9, Scholar) lived in Marske, Yorkshire with her father Robert (37, Greengrocer), mother Ann (38), and five siblings: Mary E (13, Scholar), Jane E (11, Scholar), James (7, Scholar), Hannah (4, Scholar), and Gertrude (2).^[3]

In 1881 Annie Henderson (age 18, Domestic Serv) lived at New Cross St in Bowling, Yorkshire in the household of her employer Sally Smith.^[4]

Annie Henderson married Guiseppe Fossale in 1892. The marriage was registered in Guisborough in the first quarter of the year.^[5]

In 1901 Annie Fossale (age 38) lived in Westgate, Northumberland with her husband Guiseppe (40, Musician).^[6]

In 1911 Annie Fossale (age 48) lived in West Hartlepool, Durham with her father Robert Henderson (73, Fruiter Retired), mother Ann Henderson (73, By Letting Apartment), sister Hannan Henderson (40, Assisting in the Above), and boarder William Stansfield Yatham (44, Quantity Surveyor).^[7]
