Thomas's wife, Ann Sanderson died in 1846 and was buried on 16 Mar 1846 in Syston, Leicestershire. ^[7][8]

In 1851, Thomas Sanderson (55, a widower, a Berlin loom warp hand) was living in Turn Again Lane, Syston. ^[9]

In 1861, Thomas Sanderson (66, widower, a framework knitter) was living in Turnagain Lane, Syston (N.B. Turnagain Lane was an old name for Turn Street). ^[10][11]

In 1871, Thomas Sanderson (76) was a widowed framework knitter living in Syston, Leicestershire. ^[12]

In 1881, Thomas Sanderson (86, widower) was living in Turn Street, Syston. His daughter, Ruth Johnson (64, widow) and grandson, Thomas Johnson (34, married, cordwainer) were in the household with him. ^[13][14]

Thomas Sanderson (87) died in 1882 in Barrow Upon Soar District, Leicestershire. ^[15]
