(I adopted this profile 10.Nov.2023). I have never find William (Georgson) Dishington mentioned been married to any Christian, so l have changed her name to Jennet Sandilands.
Jennet Sandilands born about 1487 was a daughter of James (Johnson) (about 1433 - 1505) Sandilands 5th of Calder, and his second wife Margaret Kerr.
Jennet Sandilands says to be the second wife of William (Georgson) Dishington (about 1485 - 10.Sept.1547). He was married 1.time to Elisabeth (Abrahamsdaughter) Crichton. (Lady Ardross) (born about 1483? - ) I find the mention about his two wives very uncertain, because in the literature about Elisabeth, i also find stated that she as williams widow, was remarried to Alexsander Wood of Grange. (Then she must have been a second wife), and the son Dishington says born ca.1535, and Elisabeth says to be the mother. Paul born ca.1521 says to be Jennet's son. This indicate that Elisabeth was the second wife. and that hi was remarried to Jennet Sandilands. The problem is that we cannot trust the childrens supposed birth dates. Jennet and William says to be parents of Paul (Williamson) Dishington (born ca.1521 - ) of Ardress - married to Catarine Lundie.
William is mentioned with 7 children: Who belong to which mother er noe uncertain, also their birthday. 1. Thomas (Williamson) Dishington (ca.1515 - Andross, died before 13.Mai.1569- ) married to Agnes Scott.
2. George (Williamson) Dishington (ca.1517 - )
3. Jean (Williamsdaughter) Dishington (ca.1519 - ) married to James Hamilton
4. Andrew (Williamson) Dishington (ca. 1520 - 18.July.1566)
5. Elisabeth (Williamsdatter) Dishington (Birth? - ), says to be a daughter of Elisabeth Crichton) married to Patric Eviot of Balhousie.
6. Paul (Williamson) Dishington (ca.1521 - ).
7. Mr. John (Williamson) Dishington (ca.1335 at Ardross - 1603) Sheriff depute, mentioned as a vitness 1559 (National Archives of Scotland (NAS) index to catalogue, item GD124/224. Mention first time on the Orkney islands4.Nov.1567: (* Alfred W. Johnston and Amy Johnston; Orkneyand Shetland Records. The Viking Society for Northern Research. 777Vol 7s. 160. John Dishington was part ofthe inner circle around Earl Robert Stewartfor at least a 26-year period. And from 20.February 1585 he is mentioned as Sheriff depute where he acted instead of Earl Robert .
