Thanks Jonathan, I went ahead and linked the profiles as an unmerged match. As I look at more records it does appear that the Cory Family genealogical record is the source of the error. I have a bit more to do on it, and then I agree that the profiles should be merged. Thanks again!
Hi Jonathan, just a quick follow-up message. I am beginning to suspect that the Cory Family documentation on Samuel Smith is not correct. So the two Samuel Smith profiles you cited may in fact be the same person. More research needed, it seems. Thank you!
Hi Jonathan, got your message re: Samuel Smith Smith-70405 and Samuel Smith Smith-149322. They do not appear to be the same person, but you may indeed be related to one of them, I don't know. It's possible that the two Samuels share a common ancestor in Connecticut, as the patriarch of the Long Island Smiths (Smithtown) is said to have landed at Hartford. The Smithtown clerk's records do not provide any ancestry for the Long Island Samuel, and the Cory Family records only indicate that he was born on Long Island, date unknown. So his actual birthdate could be off by years. I have added you to the trusted list nonetheless, so you can pursue the connection, if any. Good luck!

If you have access to a scanner, you can then upload them as an image for the person. I have done this type of thing for a couple of my profiles.
Hope this helps
