Biography

Miguel de Dios was born about 1675 to Juan de Dios Sandoval Martinez and Juana Hernandez.[1] In 1693 he moved to New Mexico with his parents.[1] He was in the military and when his parents moved to Santa Cruz, he stayed at the Presidio in Santa Fe. He was married to Lucia Gómez Robledo in 1697 after a long and difficult argument with her mother who did not want to her marry Miguel.[2] They had eight (possibly nine) children:

  4. Melchora
  5. Andrés
  6. Felipe
  7. Antonio
  8. Juan Manuel[3]

He was a member of the Conquistadora Confraternity and before his death, was the alcalde mayor of Santa Fe.[4] He died in 1755.[5]

Miguel was born between 1675 and 1679. He is the son of Juan Sandoval Martínez and Juana Hernández Medina. He died after Nov 1755.
