Richard Sandry was born in Cornwall, England.

Richard was born about 1845, the son of William Sandry and Joanna James.

Richard Saundry was baptised on 2nd January, 1848, at Breage, Cornwall , England. [1]

On 30th March, 1851, he was a 5-year-old Scholar when the census was taken in St Agnes, Cornwall. His father, William Saundry, 28, was a labourer. Mother, Johanna, was also 28. Richard had one brother at home on census night: Thomas J. Saundry, age 7. They were all born Breage, Cornwall. [2]

Richard Sandry was an Assisted Immigrant to New South Wales.

Richard arrived Australia, age 11, ”Fitzjames” 1857, with parents, brother & sister.

Mudgee Guardian Mr Richard Sandry an old bachelor died 19-9-1915 Age 69.He Died at the residence of his brother in law, Mr Charles McGowan.

Mudgee Guardian Mr Sandry as announced in our last issue was not a bachelor, he was a widower and left two children. Mr Richard Sandry of Botobolar and Mrs C McGowan of Redbank.
