Research Notes

There is no baptism for Thomas SANDWELL at St. John the Baptist, Margate, Kent, England. Parentage has been deduced from the fact that his marriage was witnessed by Richard & Charlotte OFFEN, and a Mary SANDWELL married Richard OFFEN shortly after Thomas was born. Richard & Mary OFFEN had children named Charlotte and Richard.

Autosomal DNA match between descendant of Thomas Sandwell and descendant of George Offen (b. 1799) supports Mary Sandwell being Thomas's mother in the absence of a baptism entry.

So far no DNA matches to Richard Swain Offen's siblings/aunts or uncles
