Caroline (Sandy) Thompson was born in Nottinghamshire, England.

Caroline was born in 1826. Her parents were Samuel and Maria Sandy. She was christened on 8 March 1826 at Normaton upon Trent, Nottinghamshire. ^[1]

In 1841 she lived with her parents and brother at Normanton On Trent, Nottinghamshire. Her father and brother were shoe makers. ^[2] In 1851 she still lived at her parents home at Woodcoates, Normanton On Trent, Nottinghamshire. ^[3]

Caroline married John Thompson in 1851 at Normaton upon Trent, Nottinghamshire.^[4] They had a son and two daughters.

In 1861 they lived at Carpenters Arms, Normanton, Nottinghamshire. John was woring as a shoe and boot maker. ^[5]

In 1871, 1881 and 1891 they still lived at Normaton on Trent and John continued to work as a shoe maker. ^[6][7][8]

John passed away in 1893.^[9]

In 1901 Caroline was living with her daughter and son in law at 8 Co-Operative Brook Terrace, Worksop, Nottinghamshire.^[10]

Caroline passed away in 1907, age 79.^[11]
