Lucia Sangiorgi is born around 1732 in Corleone, the daughter of Nicolo' Sangiorgi and Giacinta la Miata. Lucia is named after her maternal grandmother.
Lucia marries Giovanni Grizzaffi on 18 January 1751. Her parents are both living at this time.
Lucia and Giovanni have seven known children: Maria (c. 1752), Giacinta (c. 1757), Salvatore (c. 1763), Anna Maria (c. 1770), Nicolo' (1770), Giuseppa Maria (c. 1776), and Francesco Paolo (1779).
Giacinta, named after her maternal grandmother, is born around 1757, based on her age in the 1766 census.
Salvatore is born around 1763, based on the same census.
In 1766, in the strada di Giuseppe Palazzo behind the church and convent of San Agostino, Giovanni Grizzaffi, 42 (b. 1724), lives with his wife Lucia, 32 (b. 1734), and children Maria, 14 (b. 1752), Giacinta, 9 (b. 1757), and Salvatore, 3 (b. 1763).
Nicolo' is born 1 April 1770 and baptized the next day, named after his maternal grandfather. His godparents are Gaspare and Paola Mule, a married couple from Bisacquino.[1]
Anna Maria, named after her paternal grandmother, is born around 1770, based on her reported age in the 1779 census.
Giuseppa Maria is known from her appearance in the 1779 census.
In 1779, the census takes a path through a number of courtyards. The family appears to be in the northwest quarter of the city, in the cortile di costa di Lepro. Giovanni Grizzaffi, 55 (b. 1724), wife Lucia, 43 (b. 1736---45, based on previous census), and children Giacinta, 19 (b. 1760---22, based on previous census), Salvatore, 17 (b. 1762), Anna Maria, 9 (b. 1770), Nicolo', reportedly 6 (he is 9), and Giuseppa Maria, 3 (b. 1776).
Francesco Paolo is born and baptized 22 April 1779. His godparents are Antonino and Rosa Majore, a married couple.[2]
Giacinta marries Antonino Spinella on 22 July 1781. Her parents are both living.
Giovanni dies at age 60 (b. 1725) on 24 September 1785. Lucia survives him.[3]
Giuseppa dies at age 13 (b. 1775) on 9 December 1788.[4]
Salvatore marries Caterina Caltabellotto on 4 July 1790. Giovanni has died by this time.
Lucia dies at age 65 (b. 1732) on 16 October 1797. This record gives her family surname as "Pennata."
Anna Maria marries Ignacio Cimino on 3 June 1798. Her parents have both died.
Anna Maria dies at age 50 (b. 1762) on 12 November 1812. Ignacio survives her.
Giacinta dies at age 70 (b. 1747) on 15 September 1817, the widow of Antonino.
Nicolo' dies at age 74 (reportedly 80) on 4 October 1844. His wife, Salvatrice, survives him.
