DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Nicki or other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Nicki:

Have you taken a DNA test? If so, login to add it. If not, see our friends at Ancestry DNA.

It's time for the One Place Studies Project Check-In!

We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.

If you have decided to step away from your study, please reply to this comment to that effect.

Dear Wikitreer:

my name is Cristina Corbellani and I’m Team Leader for the Italian Diaspora section of the Italy project on Wikitree. You are receiving this email because you expressed an interest in the Italian Diaspora. The aim of this part of the project is to identify the migrant Italians to connect their families of origin in Italy with their descendants abroad. We have specific resources for this purpose which are explicited here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Italian_Roots_Diaspora. If you are new to Italian genealogy or are not familiar on how to trace a migrant ancestor, I’d like to invite you to join us the next September 30th to October 2nd. On those dates we will doing the Source-a-Thon as Team Italy, a friendly competition in which we locate sources for as many unsourced profiles as we can over an extended weekend. But the important thing is that, whether you join the competition officially or not, or if you are joining another team (which you can do here if you like: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1463120/register-now-for-the-2022-source-a-thon ), if you drop by on the #Italy channel on Discord you’ll find almost always during those days someone ready to help you with your research, translations or resources websites. Or you can just drop by to say hello! We always have great fun during these events. Hoping to hear back from you soon, best regards, Cristina.

Hi!

This is Chris from the Italy Project. As part of the annual project check-in, can you fill in the project survey? This will let us know that you are still interested in the project and which teams you'd like to participate in.

Thanks and have a great day!

Hi Nicole,

Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After adopting orphans FAQ to understand what to do next and it explains the special attention those profiles need.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Hi Nicole

Just a reminder for participants of the monthly integrators challenge of the primary goals and tasks of the Integrators Challenge which are:

Create profiles from unanswered G2G questions.

Answer unanswered questions. (For the challenge, these need to be from at least two months from the current date and earlier.) Connect questions to existing WikiTree profiles. Some months may feature specific tasks to accomplish these. See the current month's thread for more information.

Also that any profiles not created from any other than the G2G questions and the Category:Needs Profiles Created do not count. This includes all profiles added from your Gedcom in June.

Also, note you do need to sign up each month for the G2G challenge post. New post out tomorrow. Please mark profiles as either from G2G or needs category and note that they are to be orphaned

Any questions just ask

Integrators Project - Bringing attention to orphaned profiles

Hello Nicole,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It is very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Welcome back to WikiTree, Nicola!

Thank you, for signing the Honor Code. Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page.

Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is a great way to start.

Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.

Hi again!

I see you have added your DNA test information.

Our DNA Features page will explain how we use DNA on Wikitree.

We also have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening. To check it out, use the Find menu on the top right of your profile page, select Projects from the drop-down menu, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you. Feel free to contact any of the members if you would like to join the project or get more information.

Cheers, Liz

Hi Nicole,

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial e-mail from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

When you confirm your email address, you’ll see a Volunteer option on your profile page. Click that and leave us a short message about your genealogical interests. A Greeters Project volunteer will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.

Liz
