Sarah (maiden name unconfirmed) married Matthew Jouett, II, circa 1758, in Louisa or Hanover county, Virginia. Matthew Jouett wrote his will 9 September 1779, and it was proved during the September session of the Caswell County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions (which ran for the three-month period September-November). Sarah married, secondly, John Edmonds Brown.
The Heritage of Caswell County, North Carolina, Jeannine D. Whitlow, Editor (1985) at 326 (Article #406 "Matthew Jouett II" by Elizabeth Anthony Faller) states that after 1782 the widow Sarah Jouett married her second husband, John Brown. It is believed that person was John Edmunds Brown, who died circa 1798, in Caswell county, North Carolina. John's Will listed wife, Sarah, daughter, Nancy Harper, Elizabeth Swift, Sally Brown, sons Bedford, Jethro, Robert, John, William and Green. He then separately mentioned his four youngest, Sally , Johnny, Billy and Green (probably indicating they were by his second (or third) wife).
