Frederick Sargeant was born at Colnbrook, Buckinghamshire, England on 15 October 1872 to Robert Sargeant (bef.1847-1924) and Elizabeth (Sparrow) Sargeant (1847-1921) A private diary states that Robert the father had already abandoned the family. Frederick's birth was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1872 in the Eton district.[1]
In 1881 Frederick and Florence Sargeant (1870-) were boarders living in Colnbrook, Buckinghamshire, England [2]
