Biography

Hannah Sargent married William Howard in Barre, Vermont, on 7 December 1815.^[1] She was his second wife.

Sargent identifies her as the daughter of Robert Sargent and Miriam Fuller, probably born in Andover, Massachusetts, probably before 1797, and before her parents journeyed to Tunbridge, Vermont, where they settled.^[2]

Their son Wilber Fiske Howard was born in Barre, Vermont, on 20 March 1827. The birth record names his parents as Wm. Howard and Hannah.^[3] Wilbur Fiske Howard died in Randolph, Vermont, in 19 April 1910. The death record indicates that he was 83 years old and had been born in Barre, Vermont, the son of William Howard. also born in Barre, and Hannah Sargent, born in Tunbridge, Vermont. ^[4]

William Howard died in 1829. Hannah married again, on 9 May 1833, to Joseph Thompson, becoming his fourth wife. The marriage record identifies her as Mrs. Hannah Howard, a widow.^[5][6] There were no children by this marriage.^[6]

Joseph Thompson died in 1836. Hannah survived as his widow. She died in 1845.^[6]
