No, I was unaware of another Charles Sargent in Amesbury around the same time. Given all the other issues I have run into with this line (Especially with the Timothy's) it does not supprize me. Can you send me the ID for this other Charles? I assumed the citation I add was correct because the marriage was in Amesbury. The source of that citation is not what I think of as a "Primary" source but it was not a Junk citation. I will see what I can find. and share it with you and we will get this guy documented as best as we can!
Do you have a source that shows that this Charles Sargent is the correct Charles Sargent 3rd that married Sarah Hoyt? rather than Charles Sargent, born at Amesbury on Oct. 8, 1724, son of Charles Sargent Jr. and Hepzibah Heath? The marriage record shows Sarah married Charles Sargent 3rd.
You added the marriage of Sarah Hoyt to a Charles Sargent. This does not indicate whether it was Charles born Oct. 8, 1724, son of Charles Sargent Jr. and Hepzibah Heath or Charles s. Timothy and Mary, born on Dec. 27, 1728. Amesbury records show her marrying Charles Sargent 3d, which makes her husband more likely a son of Charles Jr.
