Biography

Bertina (Sarver) Faulk lived in Louisiana.

Marie Perthena Sarver was born in January 1877 in Rayne, Acadia Parish, Louisiana to George Sarver and Nancy Perry.^[1] In 1880 she was counted by the census living there with her parents and eight siblings.^[2]

She married Lenus Faulk in 1896. ^[3]

They had three children: ^[4]

1. Leonard Faulk (1897)
2. Ada Faulk (1898)
3. Sylvan Faulk (1900)

By 1900 she was married four years and had two children; she was pregnant with a third and living in Acadia Parish next door to Faulks on one side and Sarvers on the other.^[5]

Marie Perthena Sarver Faulk died in 1901 and is buried at Ebenezer Cemetery in Acadia Parish, Louisiana.^[4] After her death Lenus married her younger sister, Pearl Sarver.^[6]
