William Charles Filmore Satterwhite b. 17 Nov 1874, Hickory, NC d. 8 Oct 1948, m. Amanda E. “Mattie” Myers b. 27 Nov 1876, MT d. 9 April 1961. Moved to Portland, OR, 1894, in 1903, moved to Leavenworth, Chelan Co. WA. Both buried Leavenworth Cem. WWI registration in Chelan Co., WA., 1917, he used the name William Filmore Satterwhite b. 25 Nov 1874.

He was the son of: Christopher C. Satterwhite and Lucretia Beesley OBITUARY: W.C. SATTERWHITE, October 8th, 1948 LEAVENWORTH, WASHINGTON - William Charles Satterwhite, 74 Pioneer resident of Leavenworth, died early this morning after an extended illness. Born on Nov. 27, 1874 at Hickory, North Carolina, where he grew to manhood. At the age of 20 he moved to Portland, where he was married to Mattie Myers. In 1903 they came to Leavenworth where they have resided every since. During his life time in Leavenworth, Mr. Satterwhite followed the occupation of mill worker. Surviving are his wife Mattie. One daughter: Cordelia of Leavenworth, Three brothers: John of British Columbia, Thomas and Arthur of Portland. Two sisters: Daisy Spiller and Amy VanOrden both of Portland, Oregon and three grandchildren. Two sisters who preceded him in death were Farie A. and Rosetta E.

Added by D. Marshall Satterwhite 2016: His son Cornelius b. 1903, OR d. 10 March 1929, Wenatchee, Chelan Co., Washington m. Gwen  ? Found in 1920 Census Tumwater, WA. He was a twin of Cordelia.
