Ross and Glendining appealed on behalf of William J. L. Saul (head presser), on the ground that he was employed in an essential industry.—Mr Payne, who appeared for the appellant, said the firm were large contractors for the military authorities, and this man was the head of the pressors.—After evidence, conditional exemption was granted, subject to review.[3]
