Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.
It looks like Mayflower would be a good fit with the tag you entered. Changing your tag to Mayflower will help you get updates about activity for that project. Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

The help pages give lots of information about the process. Here's a good start: 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.
Here's a link to some great step-by-step instructions.
GEDCOM-created biographies need a lot of editing, so don't worry if/when another member edits the new profiles. You can read how to do some of it yourself here. When in doubt, leave info in, and let someone else edit that part.
You might also like to read discussions tagged as GEDCOM in the G2G forum.
Happy WikiTreeing, Carole
