Charity Saunders is part of a Bahamian family.

Biography

Charity was born in 1818. She was the daughter of Uriah Saunders and Sarah Sawyer.

Charity Eliza Saunders predeceased her father Uriah. Neither she, nor any heirs, were mentioned in the will he wrote in 1847.

Will of Uriah Saunders, father of Benjamin Turtle, William Uriah, Jeremiah Saunders, Adeline and Sarah Saunders. Written 8 October 1847 and proved in 1849:

"....Then I give to my beloved wife Sarah, for the term of her life, or so long as she remains my chaste widow, the house wherein I now dwell, with all the furniture, and the lands and tenements that lie about it, (she granting unto my children the free and required use of the Store houses and yard for the purposes of building and merchandise) And at her marriage or death to my five children, namely: William Uriah, Benjamin Turtle, Jeremiah, Sara and Adeline, Share and Share alike..."
