Biography

Edmund was born about 1810. In 1828 he married Susanna Bass in Greensville, Virginia.[1]

Much of Edmund's life was spent in Brunswick County. The 1820 and 1830 US Census places Edmund C. Saunders, his family and slaves in St. Andrews Parish, Brunswick, Virginia. [2][3] He is listed in an 1850 Agriculture Census for Brunswick County, Virginia.[4]

Edmund and Susanna had at least two children and are named as parents in their marriage records. First they are named as the parents of a son, Joseph, in his 1859 marriage. [5]And then the marriage of their son George in 1861.[6] George passed away the next year after his marriage.[7]

The date or place of Edmund's death is not known.
