When William Starratt Saunders was born on 10 October 1816, in Annapolis Royal, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada, his father, Timothy Saunders, was 32 and his mother, Susan Betts, was 28. He married Eliza Eunice Wright on 10 October 1816, in Annapolis Royal, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 3 daughters. He died on 24 December 1891, in Wilmot, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada, at the age of 75, and was buried in Paradise Cemetery, Paradise, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada.
