Titameg was born about 1750 in Rupert's Land Swampy Cree Village (York Factory) and married John Favell, Jr according to the custom of the day. She was called his 'Country Wife.," When he and Titameg were married he was the second -in command- for the Hudson Bay Company at Moose Factory. John was born before 1740 in Southwark, England. And like many of the Hudson Bay Company's male employees John started a new family Rupert's Land.
When John Favell died November 2, 1784 at Henley House, Rupert's Land, he was in his 20th year of service with HCB. During this time his positions included Writer, Second Accountant, Second in Command, Master and finally Deputy. He left a will concerned with proper future provisions for his Indian wife Titameg and their children, Jane, Humphrey Martin, Mary and Thomas.
