Henry Savage, son of William and Caroline, was born 5 Feb 1857 in Robe Town, South Australia. [1]
He passed away age 73 on 20 Jan 1931 [2] and was buried in Robe Cemetery. [3]
Mr Henry Savage, an old and highly respected resident of Robe, passed away at his home on January 26, at the age of 74 years. The deceased was a son of the late Mr and Mrs Wm. Savage, who were pioneer settlers in this district. He was born in Robe, and had spent all his life in the locality. In former years he followed the occupation of a mason, but later, with his brother (the late Mr Chas. Savage), was engaged in farming pursuits. The deceased was of a retiring disposition, and did not enter into the public life of the town. He was a member of the Oddfellows' lodge, and a large number of brothers of the order formed a cortege to the graveside. The Rev. E. O. Auricht conducted the funeral service, and P.P.G.M. Bro. T. G. Brown read the Oddfellows' service. [4]
