Hi Pierre,

Update: we have both been working on our trees! We were 40 ancestors in common. Relationship finder has us as 7th cousins through our 6th GreatGrandfather Charles Michel Leduc-53 (1722-1793). We have a Gedmatch of 7.8 cm and we now have 200 ancestors in common with relationship to me. Pierre Sauve is our 7th GGF and Barbe Beauvais is our 8th Great Grandmother whom I have an MTDNA match to. Angela (Boyer-3525) Cortner

Hi Pierre,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Based on your tags the French Roots Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to review other possibilities. Read the goals and tasks of the projects and join those which are a good fit.

Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.

Pierre,

Since you are bilingual, would you check out our [languages template https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Template:Languages] and add it to your biography? For example you might add:

Languages | fr | en-3 | sk-2

to the top of your biography if you speak French natively, advanced English and intermediate Slovak, or you could use de-4 to specify near-native German or ru-1 for basic Russian, and so forth up to ten languages.

It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree!

Thanks! Emma :-)
