Hi again, I have found several profiles that are duplicates which I will merge. On WikiTree, we strive to have only one profile per person. When birth dates are guesses, it is important to look for a wide range of dates and also varied name spellings. If you do accidentally create a duplicate (and we've all done that!), then just propose a merge. Thanks!
Roger, please provide sources for any profiles you create or adopt. If you need help sourcing, please post on G2G. Thanks for helping improve WikiTree!
Roger, I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. You appear to have several interests. Why don't you stop by the Project List (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Projects to see how you can participate? Let me know if you need help with anything. We are glad to have you on board!
Thank you for volunteering! You are now a confirmed member of the WikiTree community.
As you add family profiles, use the green tabs near the top of each profile to see what info will be visible to others - just toggle between private and public views. Not sure how to start? Visit How to Use Wikitree for instructions.
If you need help, ask a question in our G2G forum. Most WikiTree members, including myself, are eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist. If you need additional help using WikiTree, our Mentors Project is a great group of volunteers who will be glad to assist you. Looking for some great ways to help out our collective effort? The Volunteers Needed page is the place to go!
Dont forget to check out our Question of the week Do you ever go back over a family to double check and look for new sources?
The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site youve ever used.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.
