Germain Savoie, son of François Savoie and Catherine Lejeune, was born at Port-Royal, Acadie in 1654.[1]

Germain was the only one of François' sons to create a family of his own. In c.1678, he married Marie, daughter of Vincent Breau dit Vincelotte, at Port-Royal. Germain and Marie remained at Port-Royal and had a dozen children, including five sons, all born at Port-Royal, who created families of their own. Three of their daughters married into the Blanchard, Babineau dit Deslauriers, and Poirier families.[2]
