I am guessing that by your last name, your ancestors came from what is now Poland or Ukraine, but was then known as Austria or Galicia? We have a lot of researchers here with some experience in Eastern European records - once you have profiles created for your father's relatives, please ask about them in the G2G forum. You never know who may be able to help!

Thank you for joining our collaborative tree! Remember that our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please look for duplicates before adding a profile.
Enjoy!
I have sketched part of my history to possibly extend back to the long-haired monarchs with mild certainty. I wish to confirm that as well as several other claims I've discovered in my search.
I have virtually no knowledge of my father's relatives. His parents immigrated to the USA in the early part of the 20th century from Austria during turbulent times and I've reached a dead end with them. I feel my only course to solve this mystery is with a Y-DNA test, but would like to explore all my options before proceeding.
