Percival Matthew Sawtell was born on 13 August 1890 in Bega, New South Wales, Australia [1], the son of Joshua John Sawtell and Eliza Ann Payne Sawtell and the brother of George Joshua John Sawtell, Harriett Eliza (Sawtell) Wall, Alfred Thomas Sawtell, Ernest Sawtell, Herbert Henry Sawtell, Amelia Annie (Sawtell) Robinson, Grace Emmaline (Sawtell) Vidler, Leslie Arthur Sawtell, Vera Clarice Sawtell, Reginald Sawtell, Albert Kenneth Sawtell and Ethel Mavis Sawtell.
He married Eleanor (Lena) May Purnell on 11 July 1912 in Lismore, New South Wales, Australia [2] and they were the parents of Alfred Lawson Sawtell, Victor Sawtell, Percival Clive Sawtell, Alma Pearl (Sawtell) Robinson, Arthur John Sawtell, Eileen M Sawtell, and Velma Grace Sawtell and Private Sawtell.
In November 1946, fifty six year old Percival Matthew Sawtell was appointed as a Justice of the Peace in the State of Queensland, Australia [3].
Percival died on 9 January 1974 at Palm Beach, Queensland, Australia [4][5].
