Richard Sawyer is part of a Bahamian family.

Richard James Sawyer may have been born in Hope Town, Abaco. He was a planter in Marsh Harbour, Abaco.^[1] Marriage and birth records indicate there was also another couple named Richard Sawyer and Elizabeth Albury who lived in Abaco during the 1800's.^[2]

Parentage

Could Mary Ann (Sawyer) Lowe (Sawyer-1498) be the sister of Richard Sawyer? Wendy Herren [Wendy Ehrenkaufer A403743 is an X-DNA descendant of Mary Ann Sawyer-1498 and is not an X-DNA match with X-DNA descendants of Richard Sawyer (Betty Maxwell YC018055C1, Lana Payne M191333, and Jack Sawyer T030102). There are two other X-DNA descendants of Sawyer-1498 who are not yet in GEDmatch. Those two need to upload to GEDmatch to determine if they are an X-DNA match with Richard Sawyer X-DNA descendants]
