Ebenezer Sawyer was born on January 27, 1734 in Cape Elizabeth Township, Cumberland, Maine to Joseph and Joanna Sawyer. [1] On November 12, 1756 he married Susannah Yeaton in Falmouth, Cumberland, Maine.[2] Birth records confirm that Ebenezer and Susannah had at least eight children:

After Susannah died in 1775; Ebenezer was remarried to Hannah Small on January 25, 1776 in Cape Elizabeth, Cumberland, Maine.[12] This couple had one child:
Ebenezer passed away in 1795 at the age of 61 and is buried in Bay View Cemetery in South Portland Gardens, Cumberland County, Maine.[14]
