Biography

Source 1: While working on the family of Albert A. & Anna D. (Beamon) Boutelle, we find this Robert Sawyer in the 1940 US Census, living in a house headed by Albert, (his father-in-law) and also including, Anna, (his mother-in-law), and their daughter Gladys. This Robert is given as Gladys' 34yr old husband who is working as a "laborer" at this time. The census also identifies two children of Robert and Gladys in the household. We are guest-imating date of marriage for Gladys & Robert at this time (1/6/2021.)

Source 2: The 1930 US Census finds this Robert E. Sawyer living in Canton, Norfolk, Massachusetts with his wife, Gladys and his 3yr old daughter, Hope. L. (The person who transcribed the record interpreted "Hope L." as "Hazel.) Robert is given as 24yrs old, married at 19yrs of age and born in Massachusetts. Robert and his family are living next door to his wife Gladys' parents.
