Biography
John Sawyer is a part of US Black heritage.
John was born in 1856. He is the son of Dempsey Sawyer. In 1860, the family was living in Upper Parish, Nansemond, Virginia.[1] By 1870, they had moved to Western Branch, Norfolk, Virginia.[2]
John T Sawyer and Maggie V Sawyer married on 13 Dec 1888 in Haslett Township, Gates, North Carolina.[3]
